Blaugust 2022

Once more into the bleach, dear friends.

It’s hard to believe it, I know, but somehow the calendar has once again flipped over to August, and thus against my better judgement I am stretching out the rusty old blogging muscles for the annual celebration that is Blaugust.

The last year has been a year of big changes here at the Leaflocker. We moved countries, ending our six-year visit to the UK to return to Australia, lived in my parents backyard for a while before moving into a new house of our own, and became parents for the first time, and somewhat understandably in all that, the poor old Leaflocker has been more or less neglected apart from the occasional pudding post or two, and even those have tailed off in recent months.

But for a few shining moments on the 1st of August when the baby is asleep, anything looks possible, so I am once again pulling the Leaflocker out of mothballs and refusing to listen to my better judgment. If all goes to plan, Blaugust 2022 at the Leaflocker will look like this:

Of course, nothing has ever gone to plan around here, and now small humans are involved, but you’ve got to have a plan so that you something to giggle at when you come to the end of the month. I don’t know if we’ll get a post a day for a while, a couple of random posts a week, or the traditional late-Blaugust radio silence, but you’re very welcome to subscribe or just to drop on by every now and then so see what’s happening. I’d love to have you along.
